- Partners with employers, the community, and higher education
- Presents rigorous, relevant, real world projects and problems
Academies have these distinct features:
- Career Theme—Integrated academic and technical courses
- Aligned with community college or university career pathways
- Connected to local business, city governments and post-secondary institutions
- Strong internship / placement / scholarship opportunities
- Multiple funding sources
Sixteen WCCUSD academies, including all three academies at El Cerrito High School, have been awarded California Partnership Academies (CPA) funding and status.
