How to join the ECHS e-tree:
1. Go to http://groups.google.com/group/echsnews
2. Click on “Apply for Group Membership”. You will be asked to set up a Google account with your email address and a password if you don’t already have one (there’s no way around this now for private groups).
3. The ECHS e-tree group moderator will approve your request to join. This whole process may take a few days.
4. Make sure that you set up your email account so that you can receive email messages directed to echsnews@googlegroups.com from the group moderator (currently Liz Smith blnkt@sbcglobal.net (You will always see [ECHSnews] in the subject line).
5. If you don’t start receiving email from the e-tree within a week of signing up, check your SPAM or JUNK folder to see if the email is landing there. If not, you can contact the e-tree group moderator for assistance. (Note: We’ve heard that googlegroups does not work well with hotmail.) Once you join the ECHSnews e-tree, you will have access to archived e-tree posts at http://groups.google.com/group/echsnews.
