Making it easier for you to gift your student’s teachers with these needed supplies
Want to make your student’s teachers very happy by donating a ream of paper, dry erase markers, or a box of Kleenex or large roll of paper towels, or wipes so they don’t have to stretch their supplies so much this semester? Want to do that without the hassle of shopping or getting it to their classroom? If so, the PTSA would like to help. We will do the shopping and delivery and only charge you what it costs us to buy these materials in bulk.
To purchase these supplies through the PTSA:
- Print and fill out the PTSA Classroom Supply Order Program order form (see below) indicating what items you want to purchase and to which teacher(s) or department(s) they should be delivered. Please make sure your total purchases and payment add up.
- Mail in your form with a check or money order made out to ECHS PTSA OR drop off your order form and check at the school office in an envelope addressed to the PTSA PMKO Program OR place an order (cash payment OK) at Back to School Night or Progress Report Night.
- We will notify teachers about your purchase (so they’ll know it is from you) and when they will receive it.
Other ways to get needed supplies into classrooms:
- Give teachers gift cards or Rewards credit slips for Staples, Office Depot, Target, and Amazon.com that they can use to buy what they need.
- Contact teachers by phone or email to find out what they need for the specific class your student is taking or consult the ECHS Wishlist at http://tinyurl.com/echswishlist-needed-view.
- To donate to an art, photography, or PE class so teachers can buy needed supplies/equipment, first check with the teacher to find out what is needed and whether they prefer a gift card for a specific store or a check made out to El Cerrito High School with the teacher’s name so the teachers can purchase the supplies themselves. Turn this in to the teacher or the school office with a note indicating the teacher, class, and your student’s name. The PTSA is not involved with collection of these funds. These departments do not get school funds for special supplies needed for their classes, so they really need contributions in order to provide students a high quality learning experience. Most contributions qualify as tax deductible.
PTSA Inkjet/Toner Cartridge Recycling Program
- The PTSA collects used or expired inkjet and toner cartridges to turn in for Staples and Office Depot Rewards credits ($2 per cartridge) that we use to purchase school supplies. Cartridges can be dropped off in a plastic bag (to prevent leakage) marked “For PTSA” at the main office Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. In addition to cartridges from your home printer, we’d appreciate cartridge donations from your workplace and local businesses.
